It's the lore.
Two people. A suspicious amount of texting. Several “we're just friends” allegations. One very unnecessary amount of family involvement. And somehow… forever.
chapter 01 · the beginning
It started very normally.
Which was the first red flag.
There was no cinematic rain. No violin. No slow-motion dupatta. Just two people who kept talking… and talking… and somehow never got bored of each other.
“We're just talking.”
Narrator: They were, in fact, not just talking.
chapter 02 · the denial era
Everyone knew.
Except them. Obviously.
The friends:
“Bhai, we're not stupid.”
chapter 03 · oh no, it's real
Then one day,
it stopped being a joke.

They somehow became both.

And then…
Indian parents. 💀
Because no love story in India is complete until somebody asks the most important question: “Beta, shaadi kab kar rahe ho?”

The question that has appeared in more family groups than good morning messages.
“Hum kuch nahi keh rahe… bas pooch rahe hain.”
Translation: We have already discussed your wedding with three aunties.
“Ladka/larki achha hai?”
Meanwhile Dad has silently approved the venue, caterer and photographer.
“Next tumhari kab hai?”
Ma'am, respectfully, the wedding hasn't even happened yet. 😭
chapter 05 · the “we're adults” illusion
They thought marriage
would make them mature.
Reality:
“What should we eat?”
A 45-minute discussion. No conclusion. Ordered the same thing.

“Small, intimate wedding.”
They said.

There are now 14 rehearsals and one cousin who thinks he's Hrithik.
GROOM“I'm calm.”
Bro has checked the wedding schedule 27 times.

Select your most believable excuse. We promise not to judge. We will only judge a little.

By attending this wedding,
you agree to:
1. Dance even if your knees disagree.
Nobody came here to watch you preserve your dignity.
2. Eat like the calories are sponsored.
Diet resumes after the reception. Probably.
3. Cry respectfully.
Especially when the parents start speaking. We know what's coming.
chapter 12 · a very serious test

And suddenly…
all the jokes become memories.
One day, we'll forget who arrived late, who danced badly, who cried first, and who stole the last gulab jamun.
But we'll remember that for one evening, our favourite people were all in one place.
That's the part we really want.
